Kim Smith Also known as Kimmi-K, is a Full Figured Model who is striving to get to the top. Her goal is to reach young girls who have NO confidence and think beautiful only exists in a size 2-4. No way……lay your eyes on this full figured Barbie doll, and you will think twice about a size 2-4. “Bigger is Better” is her Motto! Motivated, A Self Starter, Funny, Shy and Confident yet Humble are some words to describe this diva’s Attitude.
A true 80’s baby, born in St. Louis, MO, later relocating to Nashville, TN. Kim was all over the Church, from singing in the choir, to choreographing dance sequences, and directing talent/fashion shows in school. There is no question that talent is there. She never failed to use home as her stage or run way when all else failed or she feared of sharing her dream with family or friends. Now, Kim eats, breathes and sleeps to become Successful PLUS size Model/Actress. A few Models who have inspired Kim are: Queen Latifah, Tocarra Jones, Monique, Mia Tyles, Tyra Banks, N. Campbell and the list goes on.
Fashion has always been Kim’s passion, dreaming of one day having her own plus size line, and shoe collection. In 1999, Kim found her first job at a local department store. She later learned that attitude was everything in the fashion industry. Her experiences from retail gave her the attitude to deal with people and lend her often needed fashion advice. Kim loves all types of clothing from urban wear to the grown and sexy look.
Kim has done several fashion shows and she loves the run way. She also has had special training from learning how to pose to her run way walk. Kim does not want this blessing just for her self, but for her family, friends, and all the women who felt like they were not good enough because of where they came from, their size or skin color.
Kim’s goals are to pursue a successful professional modeling career, act, open a plus size boutique which would feature her own shoe/clothing line along with other fashion designers. She also plans to establish a center for young girls to build there confidence, goals, and skills. The 3 Things that keep her going is staying fabulous, exercise, and keeping God first.
